Frequently Asked Questions

How is GPA calculated?
GPA = Total Quality Points ÷ Total Credits. Quality points for each course = Grade Points × Credit Hours. For example, an A (4.0) in a 3-credit course = 12 quality points.
What is a good GPA?
3.7+ is Excellent (Dean's List level), 3.0-3.6 is Good, 2.0-2.9 is Satisfactory (minimum for many programs), below 2.0 may trigger academic probation.
Does this include A+ grades?
A+ is included and equals 4.0 points on the standard scale. Some schools weight A+ as 4.3, but the 4.0 maximum is most common.
Can I calculate my cumulative GPA?
Yes. Enter all courses from all semesters to calculate your cumulative GPA. You can also calculate a single semester by entering only that term's courses.
